Los Angeles International Airport
Los Angeles, CA 90045 As of July 27, the Bob Hope USO at LAX has moved to its new location in the LAX Theme Building. Our entrance faces Terminal 6.
Hours of Operation
Open 24/7, 365 days a year.*
*In order to maintain adequate space and overnight services for current members of the military and their dependent family members, we are unable to accommodate military retirees and/or their dependents between the hours of 2200 and 0400, but would be happy to provide information about local hotels. Please note that the mission of the USO is to serve current members of the military and their dependent family members. We are not a veterans or military retiree service organization, and never have been. We are a private non-profit that raises 100% of our funding from private sources to fulfill our mission which has remained the same since 1941. We hope our veterans understand that just like the USO was there for them during their active service, we remain at the service of current military members and their families today.
About this Location
Los Angeles International Airport is one of the world’s busiest airports, and Bob Hope USO greets and serves over 100,000 service members and their families per year.
In 2018, our USO at LAX relocated to the historic Theme Building. We estimate 2.7 million troops and military families will visit in the next 20 years, seeking a safe-haven and a touch of home at one of the world’s busiest airports. Our new 7,000 square foot, state-of-the-art airport center was built to support our country’s troops and their families for generations to come.
One of only six USO centers in the world that operates 24/7, the Bob Hope USO at LAX is our flagship center and is our largest location by number of troops and families served. On our busy days, our center has had more than 1,000 visitors, all weary troops and military families seeking the comforts and connection to home amidst the chaos and stress of travel.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please visit www.USOVolunteer.org. You will need to click the box “Volunteer at a USO Center’, then click “Continental United States”. Next select “California” and “LAX” in the dropdown menus, and then complete and submit the Volunteer Interest Form.
